Here is the “Daily Roundup,” Friars fans:

  • In other injury news, Brock mentioned yesterday that Yonder Alonso could come off of the disabled list as early as today.  Brock also stated that Clayton Richard is opting for surgery on his pitching shoulder.  That particular procedure and recovery time means that the left-hander will miss the rest of the 2013 regular season.
  • As far as odd news goes, Friar starter Chad Gaudin was recently charged with “gross lewdness” earlier this month.  The charge stemmed from an incident back in January of this year when Gaudin allegedly touched the breast of a woman on a gurney in a Las Vegas Hospital according to ESPN (via the Las Vegas Review-Journal).
