Daily Padres Roundup: June 27, 2013

I know that I can’t speak for all of you readers, but that last loss was sure tough to stomach for this Friar fan.  Luke Gregerson melted down for the third time in as many weeks, and the bullpen looks like an enormous liability.  Worst of all though is the fact that the team is now below .500 (39-40).

Anyway, here is today’s “Daily Roundup:”

Yeah that was hard to watch , I wanted to cap my bday off with a victory but sheesh Luke has been blowing it , can’t even wrap my head it . Disappointing !

Total kick to the groin if you ask me. Personally, I won’t place the brunt of the blame on Forsythe, especially since he was a huge reason why the team was ahead 5-2 to begin with.

My hope is that the team will begin to give guys like Boxberger shots late in the game and see how they respond. Actually watched Quackenbush about a week and a half ago in Tucson, and he has some nasty stuff. In time (2014 or 2015) he could be a solid bullpen contributor as a setup man or even a closer.
