24 Non-Roster Players Competing For A Job

The Padres have invited 24 non-roster players to Major League Spring Training camp at Peoria, Arizona. Amongst the 25 non-roster invitees, 15 of them are pitchers, four are catchers, five infielders and just one outfielder.

There’s some pretty good talent on this list.  Out of everyone, I’m pulling for Tim Stauffer to make the team, although it is highly unlikely being that he is still recovering from injury.

Stauffer has an opt out clause for June 1 if he doesn’t make the roster by then. Lets first worry about Stauffer getting healthy, then we will talk about him making the roster.
