Chicken Friars’ Fans Vote For San Diego’s Team

Last week, I gobbled up some quotes from an interview that Chicken Friars staffer, Dallas McLaughlin had with U-T San Diego’s  Matthew T. Hall as to why he believed San Diego was a “Chargers Town.” Soon after the interview, Dallas wrote a blog titled “Blacked Out,” in which he argued why San Diego was more of a “Padres Town.”

So I asked you, the fans, in an unscientific poll, “Is San Diego a Chargers Town or Padres Town?”

And here are the results……………………………..

With 67 percent of the vote (28 voters) Chicken Friars’ fans believe that San Diego is a “Chargers Town.” Only 33 percent (14 voters) of the Chicken Friars’ fans believed that San Diego is a Padres fan.

Congratulations to the 5-9 Chargers for being named San Diego’s team. As a Padres fan and Co-editor of Chicken Friars, I obviously disagree with the outcome, but that’s why I left it up to the fans to decide.
