Padres catcher Yasmani Grandal made his mark in Throwdown Thursday history by   unanimously defeating teammate and outfielder Will Venable to win the season ending Throwdown Thursday crown.

Grandal’s award winning week included a .450 (9 hits) average with one home run and five RBIs; he also had a .600 slugging percentage for the week.
