BEAT LA: Probable Pitchers – Padres vs Dodgers

Time to get back to those winning ways. The Giants series started out well, but ended with disappointment. We were up by 2 runs late in the third game and just couldn’t close it out and then the offense could not get anything going last night. Could have been a sweep, could have been a series win, but we leave with a split.

Now we head out to Los Angeles to face the last place Dodgers. Hopefully we can keep them there and head into this All-Star Break with some momentum.

Here are the probable pitching matchups in LA:

Game 1:
Mat Latos vs Chad Billingsley
Mat has been struggling and we need to get him going. He has only won once in his last 5 starts and he is one loss away from double digits. It should be a good battle of 2 young hard throwing righties.

Game 2:
Aaron Harang vs Rubby De La Rosa
The Harangutan should be back up from the disabled list to face the rookie Rubby. Harang threw pitches in a minor league game on Monday and should be ready to go. Rubby will be facing the Padres for the first time in his career.

Game 3:
Tim Stauffer vs Ted Lilly
Stauff has been pitching well and has allowed 2 runs or less in his last 6 starts. His ERA us sitting below 3.00 and he is looking to bring his record above .500. We will face off against the lefty Lilly and will try to give him his tenth loss of the season.
