Bases Juiced. No Outs… And Padres Can’t Bring A Run In. lose 1-0

What a shame!! To come back and load the bases to start out the ninth inning down by a run and end up leaving them all stranded. All we needed to do is put the ball in play and we could have scored. This has been our season! Just TERRIBLE baseball!

The Padres started out the ninth inning with a Cameron Maybin double and the next two batters, Rizzo and Rob Johnson, were hit by a pitch to load the bases. Kyle Phillips and Will Venable followed that up by striking out and then Jason Bartlett hit a lazy fly ball to center to end the game.

We left ELEVEN men on base and were 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position.

Mat Latos didn’t deserve it, but he took loss number 10 this season by pitching 7.1 innings and only giving up 1 run.

Painful loss! Back at it tomorrow against the rookie Rubby (that really is his name).
