Teams Are Interested in Trading for Padres Ryan Ludwick

According to Fox Sports, the Phillies, Mariners, and Reds have contacted the Padres to check the availability on OF Ryan Ludwick. Ludwick is set to be a free agent after the season and it’s not likely to see Luddy re-sign with the team at the end of the year.

If/when we are able to move Luddy, we probably will look to bring up Kyle Blanks from Triple-A Tucson. Blanks has been getting more reps in the outfield as of late and he would probably be the new starter in left field.

Ludwick has struggled to adapt to the dimensions of PETCO Park and moving to a more hitter friendly ballpark will help his numbers out.
