San Diego Padres 2 – Colorado Rockies 0

The boys squeezed out 2 runs in the 5th inning and that is all that they would need behind the gem that Tim Stauffer pitched tonight. He went a career-high 8 innings and struck out a career-high 8 batters to pick up his 2nd win of the season.

Stauffer had 2 of the Padres 6 hits on the night and he drove in one of the runs in the 5th inning. He was a one-man wrecking crew on the night, shutting down the Rox and driving in the runs.

Heath Bell closed the ballgame out to pick up his 17th save of the season and the Padres will look to get the series win tomorrow afternoon! This is the Padres baseball that we like to see!!
