San Diego Padres 3 – Atlanta Braves 2

If only the team could figure out how to pull out victories at home, we would be right in the thick if the NL West race. The Padres went into Atlanta and took an extra-inning victory against the Braves. C Kyle Phillips had the big knock in the game with a solo home run in the 10th inning to put the boys ahead and eventually win the game.

Ryan Ludwick continued his hot month of May adding 2 more RBI to his totals. He now has 34 on the season.

The pitching was solid especially from the relief crew. Starter Aaron Harang pitched 6 strong allowing just a pair of runs to score. The bullpen pitched 4 shutout innings with Chad Qualls taking the win and Heath Bell collecting his 13th save on the season.

It’s the third straight game that the youngsters Blake Tekotte and Logan Forsythe have started, and we have won all three. Let’s keep this winning thing going and make it 4 straight tomorrow!
