Jason Bartlett has been on a tear

Brad Hawpe and Ryan Ludwick are starting to hit the ball more and they get most of the attention on offense since they hit the long ball. Jason Bartlett should not be overlooked for the work that he has done this month.

Bartlett has been on a tear in the last eight games to help the offensive assault. In the month of May, Bartlett has drove in 12 of his 15 RBI and has a .298 batting average. He has 5 of his 6 extra base hits this month. He has RBI in eight consecutive games, one shy of tying club record of nine straight (Lezcano ’82, Finley ’96).

Bartlett’s success at the top of the order has been huge in our recent success. He has been bringing the runs home and has been able to put himself in scoring position. He has been smooth at shortstop and the recent offensive surge has helped to lead the team to victory.

Let’s keep this offensive tear rolling and keep the wins coming!
