And the runs just keep on coming! Padres escape the NL West cellar

San Diego Padres 8 – Arizona Diamondbacks 4
It was bound to happen. The pitching has been OUTSTANDING to start the season and the hitting had just not shown up for the season. NOW the hitting has arrived and the team is looking good! Tonight, we created our longest win streak of the season by winning our third straight.
The offense came out HUGE again today! The Friars quickly jumped on Arizona with 5 runs in the first 2 innings. Jason Bartlett doubled in the second inning to bring home a couple of those runs. In the 5th inning, Ryan Ludwick hit his 7th home run of the season to bring home a couple more runs.
Clayton Richard benefited from the Padres offense and gets his second win of the season. Mike Adams gets his first save of the season as well.
Another great day for our Padres, lets finish off this road trip tomorrow with another victory!
