What was the equation to win in PETCO again? Its not working!

I thought we figured out the equation on how to play in PETCO Park. I thought that good pitching and speed on the bases and a strong defensive squad would lead to victories. Isn’t that what they have been telling us since we moved to this ballpark? We brought in players like Orlando Hudson, Jason Bartlett and Cameron Maybin to help out in that equation.

With everything that we have done, we are sitting with a losing record at home and a winning record on the road. We have a record of 4-12 at home and are 7-6 on the road. How is this happening?

So far this season, it seems that pitching and defense is how you play on the road, but in San Diego you just hope that somebody can run into a pitch to drive in some runs. Both teams will have good pitching, but if someone can make a big hit (we have nobody on the team that is doing this), then you will get a victory.

It might be time to re-evaluate this equation for success in PETCO, because it is just not working right now.
