Harang roughed up in loss to Bravos

Atlanta Braves 8 – San Diego Padres 2

W: Jair Jurrjens (2-0)
L: Aaron Harang (4-1)

So much for the pitching keeping us in the games. Aaron Harang was roughed up in this game, giving up 8 earned runs against the Braves in his 6 innings of work. Chipper Jones started it off with a 2-run bomb and Harang’s former teammate David Ross touched him up for two homers.

The offense still left 8 men on base and were 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position. We just can seem to bring runners in when they are sitting on 2nd or 3rd. Ryan Ludwick had a couple of doubles and Brad Hawpe added a hit and an RBI. Jorge Cantu even went 2-for-4 in the game. Hopefully the veterans can keep it going and generate some offense for the team tomorrow for Mat Latos on the mound.
