Washington Depot native and Shepaug High graduate Evan Scribner was promoted to the San Diego Padres’ active roster Monday. Scribner had spent all of this season as a member of the Padres Triple-A affiliate in Tucson. He was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks following his senior season with the Blue Devils in 2007.

Hundley has not traditionally been this good of a hitter, so he will probably drop off soon, but he has been a pretty consistent catcher over his career.
