Offense held scoreless again

Chicago Cubs 1 – San Diego Padres 0

The Padres offense is pathetic. Through 10 innings, we were only able to muster up 5 hits and was held scoreless. Both Jorge Cantu and Nick Hundley had a hat trick, striking out 3 times in the game. We left a total of 6 runners on base and were 0-for-5 at the plate with runners in scoring position.

Tim Stauffer pitched 7 strong innings and just could not get any support from the offense. He held the Cubs scoreless and struck out 4 batters.
