The merry-go-round lineup... changes made to try and generate offense

San Diego Padres vs Houston Astros

The Padres have struggled to put up some runs and Buddy Black decided to tinker around with the lineup in order to try and generate some offense out of it. There are some guys in the lineup that are STRUGGLING and the moves may help out!!!!

I like the changes that were made though for the first game against the Astros. Here is the lineup that the Padres will trot out tonight in Houston. Hopefully there will be momentum carrying over from the walk-off win yesterday.

Dustin Moseley gets the start today and already has 2 losses on the season, but the team has not been able to generate ANY offense for him (0 runs in his 2 strarts). If he continues to pitch well, the wins will eventually start to come. Hopefully we get that first win for him today!

Here is today’s lineup:

RF Will Venable .156, 1 RBI, 4 R, 1 SB
3B Chase Headley
.243, 1 HR, 7 RBI
2B Orlando Hudson .317, 3 RBI, 5 SB
LF Ryan Ludwick .114, 1 HR, 4 RBI
C Nick Hundley .406, 2 HR, 8 RBI
1B Brad Hawpe .138, 1 RBI, 12 SO
CF Cameron Maybin .243, 2 HR, 4 RBI
SS Jason Bartlett .129, 3 SB
P Dustin Moseley 0-2,  2.08 ERA
