Maybe we can drive in some runs today for Tim Stauffer… hopefully

After a frustrating night at the park, the Padres will need to bounce back and support their starting pitcher with some runs. Tim Stauffer will take the hill today and may have to shut out the Reds in order to get the win today.

The Padres have struggled at the plate and have not been able to cash in on scoring opportunities. Buddy Black made a lot of lineup changes in order to mix things up, plus it was a day game after a night game and he needed to get some players rest.

Cameron Maybin will be leading off the game and Jason Bartlett is back in the lineup after taking the last couple of days off with a sore back. Jorge Cantu gets the start for the struggling Brad Hawpe. Chris Denorfia gets the start in right field for Will Venable.
