All-NL West Team

Our National League West BLOGS (Venom Strikes (Diamondbacks), Rox Pile (Rockies), Lasorda’s Lair (Dodgers), andFrisco Fastball (Giants)) at the FanSided Network came together and voted for an ALL-NL West Team. Here is the team that we came together to create:

C – Buster Posey – San Francisco Giants
1b – Aubrey Huff – San Francisco Giants
2b – Kelly Johnson – Arizona Diamondbacks
3b – Pablo Sandoval – San Francisco Giants
SS – Troy Tulowitzki – Colorado Rockies
OF – Carlos Gonzalez – Colorado Rockies
OF – Chris Young – Arizona Diamondbacks
OF – Andre Ethier – Los Angeles Dodgers

The San Diego Padres did not have any players voted onto our All-NL West team. Adrian Gonzales would have easily been voted as the 1B, but he was traded to the Boston Red Sox in the offseason. I tried to lobby for our defensive 2B Orlando Hudson to be placed on the team, but the other guys decided to vote on the offensive player Kelly Johnson.

The Padres are built around pitching and defense, so we should have some of our pitchers represented on our NL West pitching staff. We are voting on that now and I will post up the results of that vote soon.
